There is no new building code- the code before the storm is the same is the
same now.  The elevation issue works like this- there has been no change in
the elevation yet, but it is likely to happen.  It is told that the flood
plain management program will make these decisions in the next six months or
so.  If you rebuild now, it can be at the same elevation and then if the
elevation changes, you would be grandfathered into compliance.  Flood
insurance premiums will be set accordingly.  We are not sure what those
premiums will be but NFIP will be accesible to compliant properties.
