Dear Residents of St. Bernard,

We want to give you an update on the progress of communication with
residents of the
area affected by the Hurricane Katrina oil spill. Also, we want to provide
you with
additional information.

We have now opened additional offices in Houston and Baton Rouge to provide
more
convenient appointments for displaced residents there. These new offices
will
complement our offices in St. Bernard, Metairie and Mandeville.

We ask for your patience as we continue to contact and set up appointments
with
residents in the affected areas who have previously contacted Murphy. Please
let me
emphasize that no deadlines have been set for this process to end, and no
resident will be affected in any way by when the appointment is made. We
want you to have sufficient time to decide what's best for you and your
family.

If you are in the affected area and have not contacted Murphy, we encourage
you to do so by calling 1-877-511-1006. If you have already called, but have
not yet been contacted for an appointment and would like to be sure your
contact information is correct in our database, please call 1-870-864-6420.

While the process is going well, understandably there may be some confusion
concerning a number of issues. In order to provide more information, I have
attached a Question and Answer sheet to this letter.
