I've been to Seattle, WA a few times and outside the Seattle Center, there
is a big water fountain like the one you talked about at Kimah Bay.  It was
below ground level with ramps leading down for anyone who wanted to get
closer.  It was a big silver sphere and the water also shot up(and out) and
"danced" to the beat of the music.  It was great.  Children and adults alike
had a blast trying to run in and touch the sphere without getting wet.  The
onlookers had a blast watching this and enjoyed the music.  Honestly, this
would be great during the summer in a hot and humid area like St. Bernard.
