[StBernard] Army Corps of Engineers Awards Contract

Granite Construction Co. in Watsonville, CA won a $14.3 million
firm-fixed-price contract for Chalmette area plan emergency restoration
hurricane protection. Work will be performed in New Orleans, LA and is
expected to be complete by April 1, 2006. Bids were solicited via the World
Wide Web on Oct. 9, 2005, and two bids were received. The Army Corps of
Engineers in New Orleans, LA issued the contract (W912P8-06-C-0007).
