As previously suggested and endorsed by Councilman Tafaro, it's time to
get active if you are affected by the EPA halting the disposal of
debris in the Murphy Oil spill area. Let's start with email to Region 6
of EPA which is so proud of their recent tour of the area, and
specifically the Murphy Oil spill area as they state on their website.

You can copy and paste what I wrote (see below) or write your own. Go
to www.epa.gov/region6/r6coment.htm. Notice there is only one "m" in
comment so don't spell it correctly or you won't get the website that
sends them an email. Include your name and phone no. or email address
to demand a reply. This is just step one- to give them a chance to
respond. Hopefully, we don't have to go to step 2.

MESSAGE TO EPA
The 1, 700 residences and businesses in the Murphy Oil spill area are
being kept hostage now that EPA has halted the removal of our debris
from gutting our homes and buildings. While EPA and others discuss
where to haul it, who will haul it ,and when it will be hauled, the
rotting contents fester on our property as we try to salvage what's
left our homes and businesses. We, the citizens, deserve answers from
EPA. Your website press release says that EPA directors Johnson and
Green visited our neighborhood this week, so you know the situation.
