[StBernard] Ideas for the new St. Bernard

I certainly don't disagree with you about C-E Cheese. Seems if we do get
something, it's a watered down version of "the imitator" (exception,
Wal-Mart that lasted a couple weeks, and would have eventually buried its
competition (if you can call them that). Not that it would be good, because
that could lead to a "ghost-town" syndrome experienced by masses around the
country.

A part of the parish dedicated to Mom-and-Pop would be fine. For example,
let a specified area (ex. Village Square area) be dedicated to Mom-&-Pop
stores, restaurants, etc.

Of course, that probably won't fly, because store-owners have the right
realistically to open where they wish. <G>

If things won't change, I envision what's happening currently in this
one-horse-town I'm refuging at the moment: The young move away to
flourishing places and/with jobs there and housing. The old continue to pay
off their mortgages if they stay, then get left behind as things deteriorate
to slums again down the road. No movies, shopping centers, etc. because the
life-blood has moved away or kids/and adults who are left, etc. want to see
entertainment/food outside the area. ..Whoops, back at square one until the
next hurricane inundates everything to "Enchantment Under the Sea" again,
and again.

Oh, God. .. Where does it end? (except at death)..
