Amanda,

Yep, it is 4%. Not a whole lot, but every penny counts. Also, it doesn't
count for items over $2500, so don't go hog wild over that big screen TV.

* House Bill 42 (SB 96) calls for a "holiday" from state
sales tax
for consumers on December 16, 17 and 18, 2005. The bill exempts
only the
tax levied by the state and the Louisiana Tourism Promotion
District. Local
sales and use taxes are not affected. The bill applies to all
consumers and
businesses participating in recovery in the areas devastated by
Hurricane
Katrina and Rita. Motor vehicles are exempt. The bill was approved
by both
Houses and sent to the Governor for consideration.

Ok... am I the only person out here wondering if we are saving 4% here or
what? Do you know?
Amanda
