52666> The South Louisiana Economic Council operates one of five business
resource centers that are assisting with the post-Katrina, post-Rita
hurricane business relief efforts. We have been contacted by a Sandra
Williams who is working as a coordinator with FEMA Strike Force units
operating in the northern parts of Louisiana and other areas that are now
holding evacuees. 

According to Ms. Williams, FEMA benefits that have been paying for temporary
housing in hotels will expire at the end of December. Her team is visiting
evacuees in hotels to provide them with resources for finding housing closer
to their original homes. SLEC is assisting Ms. Williams' strike team by
distributing this message requesting anyone with available rental properties
or other accomodations to provide a listing of those properties directly to
Ms. Williams. She has requested that the information be sent by fax to
678-475-4048. She is also available by phone at 202-294-2043.
