The Citizens Recovery Committee (CRC) of St. Bernard Parish announces its
“Plan the Future of St. Bernard” public meeting to be held Sunday, December
11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the St. Bernard Parish Courthouse, 1101 West St.
Bernard Highway in Chalmette, Louisiana.

The CRC, made up of Parish citizens, was created by the St. Bernard Parish
Council. Its mission is to gather ideas from Parish citizens and to prepare
and purpose plans to the Parish Council in the areas of land use, housing,
economic development, infrastructure, health and safety, education,
transportation, fiscal stability and coastal management. Citizensâ input is
vital as the CRC prepares recommendations which must be submitted by the
Parish to the Stateâ s Louisiana Recovery Authority by January 25, 2006.

David Gorbaty, Co-Chair of the Committee, stresses that the purpose of this
meeting is not to receive or to answer questions regarding FEMA trailers or
other logistical matters. The meeting is specifically for the CRC members to
hear ideas from citizens for the future development of the Parish.

The Citizens for Recovery Committee encourages citizens of St. Bernard
Parish join in planning for the future of the community by participating in
this important event. For more information visit the CRC web site at
