Gaby,
be careful of changing that policy to a renters. I did the same last year
when I sold my house, and State farm could not write me home owners when I
bought my new house (17 days before the storm!) I had my auto and a rental
dwelling for a different home with them, but was told that since I did not
have a home owners they could not transfer the rental nor renters to a
;homeowner. I would get a second opinion.

HI y'all, and THANKS to Marvin Leblanc who gave me good advice.
Unfortunately I did not get a response from Mopey yet, but left my
info with
the intake person. He must be swamped (no pun intended) with
requests for
help.

Anyways, since my deadline came near, I went to a local State Farm
agent and
received sweet help.
My Flood policy is now cancelled. I was assured it can be bought
again when
I have a home again.
My HOMEOWNER's policy is reworked with a reduced coverage of bare
liability,
effective September 1, so I may even get my last quarterly premium
reimbursed.
This allows my policy to remain active until I need to incre ase it
again
(one of these future days)
Also I was told I could convert the policy into a Renter's policy
and
convert it back into a Homeowner's later, thereby not losing
eligibility for
coverage.

Gaby
