[StBernard] check points

Gaby,

I had looked at the PODS website shortly after the storm and they have a
limited delivery area. I'm not sure if St. Bernard is in it or not.

Although they are smaller and on wheels, which makes them easier for
residential use, in the situation, I don't think we are that concerned. Why
not use a real container? I know you can get them in either 20' or 40'.
Our own state Senator, Walter Boasso, knows all about containers and should
be able to help St. Bernard residents rent a container cheaper than you
could get a POD.

Maybe all he needs is this little seed to get planted to come up with a
working situation for everyone.

I do see them spot checking some, but how would one know if it is ones own
stuff or stolen? Plus I do believe it is locals taking stuff too, as we had
crawfish nets and duck decoys stolen, lots of them. Now who but locals would
be interested in acid water doused fishing and hunting stuff.

Anyways, I see PODs in Jefferson and New Orleans East, but not in St
Bernard. Is there a reason? Are they not a safe alternative for stuff to be
stored? Am thinking about it.

We too have noticed that no one is checking who is coming and going
in the
parish. Not that we have anything left to steal.

Gaby
