[StBernard] Home owners insurance - hurricane deductible

  I am probably wrong, but, did I not hear, or read, somewhere, that due to
the scope of the damage cuased by Katrina, that the insurance comapnies were
either told to, or aske to, waive the hurricane deductible that is in place
on Home owners' policies?     Any input on this would be appreciated.
