We are newlyweds and Katrina came along 2 months afer our wedding. We were
just getting settled and, as hurricanes are wont to do, have catapulted us
apart. I am staying in North Mississippi where I have power to work from my
computer and he is living in poor conditions at the NSA base where he is
working to beat a dead horse (remember it was going to be closed anyway?)
Anyway, my husband and I gave up on FEMA and are renting our own trailer so
he can get some work done on our damaged home while the weather is nice
enough to work in. He got a 2nd hand generator, delivered!, from a friend in
Florida, bless his heart,(but am sure they will want it back shortly)and
called to tell me he is all excited about being able to use a microwave to
heat his dinner, but he forgot to bring a spoon so he will have to venture
out in the dark storm to the 2nd floor of our house to find one. Upon
returning to the trailer, he spotted a bull standing in the yard. He said
he was just watching him. I wonder what he must think about all this; poor
lonely bull. While making supper, he noticed a frog sitting on the ledge of
the trailer croaking and staring at him. He said he was glad for the
visitors and even though I may be stretching this, I thought of the manger
scene when all the animals came to visit and the ox and lamb kept time, etc.
If anything, its nice to know God is still there and looking over us and his
creatures prove that! God bless us everyone, Msmudpie
