The St. Bernard VFC  Stitch In Time Homemakers club met this week for lunch
to share experiences and just hug and enjoy each other's company. Our
President, Mrs. Carolyn Little, lost her beloved Charlie after Katrina. She
presented each of us with the following Christmas greeting which was written
to her by one of her daughter's and I wanted to share this with all of you:

                                   My Christmas Wish For You
 
This year has brought us many triumphs and many tragedies.,  Our losses have
greatly overshadowed our gains.   My wish for you is that somehow you find
the strength to reguild your life and redefine your future.  You may have
lost some personal possessions or even worse, your home.  Life, as we once
knew it, has been significantly altered. Our homes may be more crowded, our
families torn apart, or our lives relocated.  I know that it may feel like
you have lost everything.  However, the things that are most important to us
can never be taken away, for we tuck them deep inside our hearts and our
souls, and they remain with us forever. May the spirit of Christmas awaken
your soul and enlighten your life.  This is my Christmas wish for you!
