[StBernard] Condemnation/Mitigation Issues

Mr. Taffaro, 
While my comment may have seemed harsh to some, my frustration as well as
the frustration of many other people that I know, have been running very
high! We have been battling insurance companies since the week of the
storm...getting plenty of run around and no results...I know that this is
not your problem...while the announcement...calling for the January 31
deadline...for home owners to make a decision...did not sit quite to well
with me nor did it with many others...it caught me by surprise...at the peak
of a very bad time...and perhaps I replied too hastily... obviously
upsetting those who are working very hard...and I realize that our officials
have suffered losses as well...while continuing...to work on getting things
up and running in St. Bernard ...I am very happy to hear of the extension of
that deadline. Also,I now  have a much clearer picture of the reasoning
behind the deadline request!  
However, I did not mean to imply that there was necessarily, (corruption) (a
word that I did not use)of any of our present or past local officials. I
know that locally our officials have been fighting MRGO. Again, the MRGO has
been around for quite some time...
