Questions about the zones:

-- Homes along the Guerenger Canal on the east bank of the canal from
Judge Perez to the 40 Arpent Canal.

** This one seems to be the east side of Cougar Dr.

--Homes along the east side of the Chalmette Vista Canal to include
Village Square and the corridor from Judge Perez to the 40 arpent canal
along the canal.

** The Chalmette vista canal sits between Kings and DeLaRonde. The side
on DeLaRonde containd the multiplexes, across the street is mostly
duplexes.

I don't understand the Village Square part. This seems just to be stuck
in there to remove multifamily homes in the Village Square Area. However,
does this include the party-wall duplexes in the "parade" streets in the
back? Or is this just the large multi-plexes on Plantation and the like.

--Homes adjacent to the 40 Arpent Canal in adjacent [sic] to the
Versailles Industrial Park to include streets north of E. Liberaux to the
Delaronde Canal.

** Why was this area being targeted? I'm guessing because of
destruction. This looks like Dubarry, Pierre, and E. Magnolia. Plus the
ends of the other large streets that terminate in that area.

--Property along the east and west bank of the Delaronde from Judge Perez
Dr. to the 40 Arpent Canal.

** Golden and Delambert. Understandable.

--Homes on the north side of Judge Perez Dr. on Munster Blvd. and Bartolo
Dr.

** I can only assume that this is for reasons of an oil buffer zone. Why
wasn't Judy Dr. North of JP and Jumonville North included in this?

These seems to fit into three categories: drainage, oil buffer zone, and
(?)getting rid of Village Square.

Are they building levees around the canals? Why obtain land around them?
And only some of them--what about the 20 Aprent, Eikes, Guichard, Corinne,
and Dubouchel canals?
