Municipal Solid Waste Removal

January 3, 2006

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

NOTICE TO St. BERNARD PARISH RESIDENTS

Starting January 4, 2006, Coastal Waste Services will begin Residential
Waste collection throughout St. Bernard Parish. The waste should be placed
curb-side as was done prior to Hurricane Katrina. Please place the waste in
trash cans or tied in plastic trash bags.

At this time, there is not a set schedule for waste collection since it is
unknown exactly how much waste will be generated daily by the current
population within St. Bernard Parish and the continuing repopulation effort.
As time goes by, a schedule will be determined based on the effort required
to collect the waste that is generated. So for the time being, simply place
your residential waste at the curb-side on a daily basis.

NOTE: Coastal Waste Services is contracted by St. Bernard Parish to collect
Residential Waste ONLY. Any debris generated as a result of Hurricane
Katrina (debris generated from house gutting, refrigerators, other
appliances, vehicles, lawn mowers, ATVs, etc.) will not be collected under
this contract. Those items will be collected by the current debris removal
contractor.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this operation, please
contact St. Bernard Parish Dept. of Public Works (504) 278-4317.
