John,

Thanks for the info, Murphy has called me in the last week, and I'm not
in the "spill zone" but am demanding testing, written proof, and if damaged,
requiring they clean it up. I am no hazardous material specialist, I do not
know how to remove it, nor will I. Federal law says their mess, their clean
up...it's the hook in being able to make the profits they have made for
years. I am not threatening suit, I am not an attorney, but in no uncertain
terms I am letting them know I am holding the COMPLETELY ACOUNTABLE!!!! If
anyone in my family gets sick, I am holding every shareholder, board member,
decision maker personally responsible- I WANT IT ALL IN WRITING. I was
informed by the first person it didn't affect my area, I explained that I
wanted something in writing holding them to those claims and should anything
or anyone get sick on my property, letting themn know they would be
liable...Now I have a new person talking to me about settlement. The only
settlement I want, is to know that if my daughter plays ANYWHERE in the
parish, she will not get sick with cancer. If she plays for the parks, by a
friends, in my own yard, I want her safe. I have said I will settle when I
get their "personal" and "business" assurances of those facts. As you said
once the water table rises, what's to stop the spreading...what if she plays
ball at the parks?..what if she's by a friend's house? I know many many
people in the parsh have settled so as to move on with their lives, but some
of this is a bit shady to say the least. For example, she has sole custody
of her kids and went to make a content settlement with them. She has two
kids and herself. Murphy said she couldn't get funds for the kids because
her ex is no where to be found, even though she has sole custody AND that if
she settled now, she would be signing away any chance of her kid's claim.
She asked if she can sign her kid's claim away, why couldn't she get the
settlement? No one answered her. She signed but something seems fishy
here...Oh, by the way John, will be sending that payment shortly. I just
returned from seeing my parents and realized I needed to order checks. I
forgot I lost 2 boxes in the flood and ran out. Will send payment in 10-14
days when they arrive. Thanks for your help as always...I may need you to do
another property, will let you know.

Wendy
