[StBernard] Removal of Oil Spill Area soils

I believe you, John. Now the saga begins...

Smart people knew the parish had polution prior to the storm. The brigades
spent many hours getting action through activity. The ignorant either
brushed it under the rug and accepted it or turned the head 45 degrees to
ignore it (hence, ignorant).

Now, powers of those seeking otherwise are out to disturb the facts. The
ruling is not in on it and might not be for sometime now. However, vigilent
people are cautious ones. The oil spill counteracts that we are one with our
environment. I can recall the landfill back in Florida Avenue/Press/Gordon
etc. where toxic materials were located under homes built after many
decades. This can be the kind of thing that some will do to "refurbish" the
land, cultivating it for use of selling it to the poor, only to find not
only trace amounts but quantities, determined to be hazardous by the EPA,
DEQ, etc.

Let's hope salvaging our community can be easier, .. Than tougher..

Remember, it's what we DO NOT KNOW that could hurt our future. No scare
tactics as we're taught calm in the face of tragedy. Just good ole' common
sense might be the order of the day, week, year and decade..

Pray that it won't happen to us.

Jer.
