[StBernard] Atmos Gas Service

Today I sent the following email on the customer service page of Atmos Gas
Company:
 "I don't understand why Atmos is stating that it cannot restore gas service
to St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, while Entergy customers in equally
devasted New Orleans have gas service fully restored. We are told it could
be more than a year away! Is this correct? I am restoring my home and cannot
afford to pay to repair the house's gas lines and also install new electric
outlets to replace two gas furnaces and gas hot water heater, stove, oven
and dryer. If Atmos doesn't restore gas service in the populated areas of
St. Bernard soon, just realize that once we all convert from gas/electric
homes to all electric homes, you have lost our business forever.  Can you
afford that?  Also, consider that once we return home and buy electric
appliances, they'll be no returning to gas either. Please advise me of the
status of your repairs in St. Bernard. If it will not  be restored to by
June 1, 2006 it seems Atmos owes a public notice/explanation to its
(former?) customers."
