On a positive note:  
Several of the larger downtown Krewes, Orpheus, Endymion. and Bacchus have
many out of town riders. Local members from all parishes affected will be
participating in these festivities side by side with some of the country's
high ranking businessmen and political figures.  Spending the day together
having lunch, trying on costumes and just plain healthy fun and
conversation.
 
What a great way to be able to share our individual Katrina experiences and
present needs of the community on a more personal basis.
