i agree with you 100%......i had state farm and received my money from them,
and believe me, it definitely wasn't a 'windfall'.  and you are right, we
paid for this over the past 20 years to protect us from just such an event,
just wish we would have had more coverage, but it cost so much in st.
bernard.  anyway, just wanted to give my 'two cents'.....

You have hit on something that many people feel...and you are correct in
everything you have stated in your message...I have something to add..if the
government is not willing to support Louisiana in building a better levee
system to protect every citizen...why on earth should we put whatever money
we get from insurance...which we have paid for,for many years...we are not
getting this money as a gift....why should we spend a dime to have this
happen to us again....
