an area of expertise for me.  My understanding is that individuals are
liable for their properties but to what extent, I can not tell you.

I have a question among similar lines.  Once a home is demolished by the
parish, if the slab remains, do you know if the homeowner would continue to
have liability if someone were to be injured on the property? I assume that
if the slab is removed, there is little for the lot owner to be liable for.
