The trailer park set ups in St. Bernard are being designed for St. Bernard
residents.  We are keenly aware of holding our community in tact.  We have
had direct discussions about this issue with both FEMA and the trailer
contractor and the agreement is that we will be able to scrub lists to make
sure that the parks are used as planned.  As a control measure, we have
discontinued additional new park development so as not to create an
abundance of spaces that FEMA would then seek to fill.

The parish was asked by the City of New Orleans to allow a FEMA trailer park
for New Orleans residents.  The parish declined, stating that what space and
trailers were available would be needed for St. Bernard Parish residents.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure Craig will clear it up once he is able to settle down
from his trip to Washington.

If St.Bernard allows the residents of the 9th ward to have housing in 
our parish than we no longer have a parish. What is the CITY of New 
Orleans doing for us? We need housing for our residents first.
  I was in the parish for the storm and the only people helping us was 
the people of St. Bernard. I hope our parish officials do not allow 
this to happen. Maybe we should block the entrance to our parish again 
with cars.
