"These are questions that a large number of residents are waiting for the
answers to. How can Parish officials expect residents to make final
decisions about returning and rebuilding building with such unsurity. A
final plan for designating areas as green space needs to be implemented as
soon as possible. People need this information to make decisions and to
move forward. You can't expect people to start to rebuild in an area that
will later be turned into green space. People will be losing precious time.

****Ah, This is EXACTLY the sentiment of tens of thousands still out there,
it appears. No word about parishioners' future is NO actions towards it
(..wasn't this one of physics' laws?)..

Action needs to be taken immediately as to what the parish must do for the
sake of the parish itself. It's like an energetic dog: "keep it leashed to
keep it home, or unleash it to let it get its exercise/freedom."

If green space above Genie is in the workings, if buyouts are needed to
assure the remaining habitant's safety, if the future is to build a "brave
new world" of existing or recalling those to its homeland is to be had..then
inhabitants need to know the planning now. The longer a
"wait-2-see-attitude", it could mean the more established people HAVE to be
and accept the cards that were dealt to them. There's little time affordable
to many whose financial decline has mandated the time they must wait.

Green space? It's the parish's move, perhaps. They are in the hands of the
state, who is in the hands of the Feds,..who is in the hands of OTHER
people, it seems. We do need definitive answers, quickly as possible.
Otherwise, people may have to accept their fate.
