Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Educational Group

Every Thursday beginning March 1st @ 7:00pm.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an extremely debilitating anxiety
disorder that can occur after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in
which grave physical harm occurred or was threatened. Often individuals
with PTSD repeatedly re-experience the ordeal in the form of flash back
episodes, recurring memories, nightmares, or frightening thoughts. PTSD
symptoms include emotional numbness and sleep disturbances, poor
concentration, depression, anxiety, and irritability or outburst of anger.

In this educational workbook, two psychologist gather together techniques
and interventions used by PTSD experts from around the world to offer trauma
survivors the most effective tools available to conquer their most
distressing trauma-related symptoms. If you've suffered a traumatic event
such as Hurricane Katrina, or other traumas in your life use this workbook
to determine the type of trauma you experienced, identify your symptoms, and
learn the most effective techniques and interventions you can use to
overcome them.

This PTSD educational group is sponsored by the Servants of Christ Food
Distribution & Community Services. Located in Super Wal-Mart parking lot
next to pharmacy trailer!

Registration fee is $25.00, this includes workbook.
