There is a proposal for the Florida Ave. project, but the reality is that
land owners along the canal are not part of the redevelopment plan or the
mitigation plan speicifically.  It will be expropriation project that is
likely many years away, if at all so it should not stop someone from
building as long as the property is compliant with base flood elevations of
the pre-storm levels at this point.

What is the latest with building in the back of Lexington along the canal.
I did not see anything about this area in the latest update on the parish
website.  Are they still looking at the Florida Ave road from Parish road
down to violet?
