The concept of closure of the MRGO is not a simple defintion.  Although the
predominant desire is to have the channel filled in, the likelihood is that
that will not happen and the closure must take on a back up meaning which is
where several projects come into the picture such as narrowing the waterway,
keeping it free from ocean going vessels, water control structures, etc.
MRGO is not the only issue for our protection- levees and storm surge
structures.
