[StBernard] Rental Properties

Craig,

We have a two doubles that are rentals that we want to restore. They are
back behind the old power company off Paris Road. One is at 525-527 Pierre
St. and is right next to the canal. We have paid to have it gutted and
abandoned cars removed and we would like to continue to fix it for rental
but it is right next to a canal. I don't know the name of the canal but it
might be the 20 arpent (?) not sure. Anyway, do you guys recommend that we
do not rebuild there? Is there some sort of buy out planned next to canals?

Also, the other double is on E. Magnolia Street in the same neighborhood but
not next to a canal. What about that one? They are bounded by Paris Road
and north of Genie Street so not very far from the MRGO. I'm confused as to
what to do. We don't want to invest money into something that is not viable
or won't be used for residential living later on. Any advise, insight, or
information? Thanks for you help.

Laurie
