Joseph:

I don't believe any sensible person who expect someone in your situation to
be included in the group of individuals who have simply moved on and have
left their homes as is, without bothering to gut it themselves, pay someone
to do it for them, or at least sign up for one of the groups offering to gut
homes for free.

Before you ask, yes, I have spoken to some neighbors who have moved on, and
while they are in a position to at least have their house gutted, they are
"waiting to make a decision".

We need to remember that comments in this column are meant for the masses,
and that individual situations will always exist, and will have to be dealt
with, accordingly.

Hopefully, your situation will be addressed soon, so that you can move
forward.
