I'm beginning to see why some people have said "to hell with it". Maybe FEMA
should just say "We don't want you building back here so we'll make it as
hard as possible for you!

Actually, according to FEMA, if your damage assessment is in the
40-60%
range, you need an itemized estimate for repairs.

Since the initial damage was a 'drive by' and most likely wrong,
shouldn't
the 'drive by assessors' be allowed another second look to adjust
and
correct their initial hampered assessment before we are forced to
shell out
another couple of much needed hundreds of dollars for an engineer or
contractor estimate we would otherwise NOT need?
There are many houses in the 30 to 60 range, it would be easer if
the
'ranges' would have been set at 30-49.
I really think that FEMA should furnish a second look and adjustment
of
these 30-60 range houses before we have to pay yet again.
