MP,

The May 31st deadline is the deadline for notifying the parish of owners'
intentions for action on their property. After the deadline, the first
action of the council will be to identify properties that have done nothing
and have made no intentions known as part of the blighted property process.
At some point we will begin the review of the condition of properties to
avoid them being boarded up or left open and unpresentable. That timeline
is influenced by several factors so it has not been set just yet-

Good luck and God Bless,
Craig

Dear Craig,

I just heard that by June 1st all homes in St Bernard Parish have windows
and doors and the lawns manicured so that they looked lived in. If not they
will become blighted property. If I complete the above mentioned anyone
would still be able to see that the house is gutted and not lived in unless
I hang curtains!!! I will keep the grass cut but I did not plan on doing
any repairs until after this hurricane season. Is there any truth to this
June 1st deadline?
Thanks for all the help you have given to everyone.
mp
