The council passed an ordinance that required houses to be rebuilt in the
same integrity as pre-storm-  The permits office granted the permit anyway
and there is an injunction that has been filed to stop this from continuing.
I introduced the ordinance to keep our neighborhoods from being redeveloped
in a chaotic fashion.
The hearing is set for 5/19/06.

I saw on the news that new modules  (SP) going up in Arabi. That thing was
way up in the air and up on pylons looks like beach housing. I thought this
was a no no for the parish.
