Hey Jill,
 
I really sense your frustration.  Don't forget to give yourself a chance to
do something unrelated to the recovery every now and then- the frustration
will still be here but you have to re-energize to have the chance to stay on
top of your game-  so get on that hawg and ride into the sunset (wearing
your helmet) and come back ready to deal with it all.
 
Now, the mosquito eating fish are available, but are not stockpiled in St.
Bernard

Demolition - todays TP stated that Unified cannot demo any homes in the
"Zone" but the Christian Contractors Association is willing to do so.
Wouldn't it be logical to have the Christian Contractors do those in the
zone and leave the others to Unified?
I do not want to have several houses on my block sitting there multiplying
rats, snakes etc because these owners are located elsewhere and think that
they have met community requirements by being on the demo list.
 
Pools - Wasn't the parish supposed to be getting the mosquito fish, that
were being donated I thought to other parishes, to be handed out to those
with pools? 
 
 
 I ask once again is there a parish list of action items, whose responsible
for execution, and the "must haves" that are being tracked? The mosquito
issue was raised months ago and must have fell on deaf ears again or was
assigned and fell through the cracks.
 
This is why so many residents are looking to stay elsewhere and those of us
that are back or coming back will be bearing the brunt of elevated cost for
services.
 
It appears that you are the only council person that really really cares
about the individual and I thank God for giving you the strength to deal
with all of us and help us out.
 
Murphy Oil -
In addition I'm attempting to settle with them but I have an underground
sprinkler system, which will be dug out when they replace my soil that they
already stated they need to do.  I'm being told that if it's damaged I'll
need to file a claim with their insurance company. The head of the cleanup
crew,an engineer for Murphy already told me that there's no way that they
could avoid damaging the system.  It's also my understanding that I cannot
write any type of requirement addressing the system regarding
damage/replacement etc. into the release form but since the session is video
taped I could mention this there.  Seems that this is a first that they had
to address.  My neighbor through he had some type of agreement with Muyphy
about his garden cement edging, to remain in place.  Well they started
digging out his soil and busted up the edging first so the machines could
get close to the house to excavate the soil.  Very frustrating for those of
us that are attempting to come back.
