Yeah, you're right, you did write first nail...

Westley, let me ask a question collectively to the list...
What is the dislike of the Landrieus about? Mitch's dad was known as "Moon
the Coon" by some, so is it because Moon was inclusive of blacks in his
administration? Or is it because of party label? I'm really just curious.
I'm a registered Dem, but have NO problem voting for whoever appears to me
to be the better candidate for an office. I'll say now, if Boasso decides
to run for Gov., he's got my vote and the same for Craig for Parish Prez.

And it appears to me that nationally, the Republican Party is nothing but
Dems in other clothes. Look at the deficit since Bush was elected...look at
the national debt total since he came in.

As I wrote, I'm merely curious about it. So much of the loss of white Dems
in the South goes back to Johnson and the passage of the Voting Rights Act
and Nixon's Southern Strategy in the '68 (?) election.

Jim,

I didn't say the last nail, I said the first one. It will take many
years
to be rid of the Landrieu's.

The defeat of Mitch means that it is possible to defeat Mary if the
right
challenger steps up.

It will be a lot harder for Mitch to run for Governor. I don't think
he'll
get the automatic support from the DNC that he got for the Mayor's
race.
