Just like Social Security, Congress has forgotten what it is for and it
should no longer be called insurance.  It should be called a bribe, for that
is what it is.

So long as you pay the bribe annually, Congress will give you money should
you have a claim.  But, if an entire area keeps wiped out, they will forget
about the bribe money you gave them and tell you to stop double dipping when
they hand out money to everyone that didn't pay the bribe.

When was the first year that the government but out the flood program, I
remember waiting to buy it. I thought it was a necessary investment, for
where we lived and purchased it even thought I was in a no flood zone. I
have paid for it all these years never once thinking about canceling it.
Strange that I am one of the ones the insurance has put the screws too.
