First full service grocery store scheduled to open in Chalmette on
Wednesday, June 28; other new businesses also open 
 
Main's Chalmette Market, scheduled to open Wednesday, June 28 in the 500
block of West Judge Perez Drive, will become the first full service grocery
store in St. Bernard Parish, with items including meat and produce.
 
The market will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
 
Winn-Dixie supermarket has said it intends to reopen is Paris Road store,
possibly in late August or September. Also, another supermarket chain is
negotiating a lease for the site of the former Jubilee supermarket in the
300 block of East Judge Perez Drive but no announcement has been made.
Other businesses recently reopening in Chalmette include: 

1.	Clements Insurance Services, operated by Richard Clements, in the
200 block of West Judge Perez Drive. The phone number is (504) 279-0171 and
the website is www.clementsins.com. 
2.	Scrub-A-Dub-Dub Laundromat and Cleaners, 311 West St. Bernard
Highway, which is the former site of Cure's Cleaners. Hours for drop-off and
pick-up are 7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.
