[StBernard] USING ICC FUNDS

Using ICC money is not as easy to use as you think. As with anything with
the government it is riddled with red tape, rules, and complications. It is
part of flood insurance which is a government program, and anything with the
government is hard. I tried to use my ICC coverage, that I have paid for,
for a house that was destroyed on the Miss. coast. After all this time, it
has still not come through. It would have been much easier to sign up with
the corp for free demolishion, but I was trying to do the right thing and
take care of it myself. Big mistake.

Mike,

Call your flood insurance agent or the adjuster that did your flood
insurance claim and ask them for a copy of the ICC brochue that explains the
steps you need to take to get your claim approved.
