My suggestions. . . .
 
 I'd definitely have it in St. Bernard Parish, that's our Home. Have you
thought of Walmart's parking lot? It's clean and there's ample parking
spaces.  Keep it simple.  As you said, it's  a "gathering". Think of this
like going to a Sunday evening Parade -- some just attend, some bring
drinks, some BBR.  I like the "sign it" idea someone suggested. Post the
date you want to have this gathering on your site as well as the Parish
site.
 
Whatever you decide will be appreciated.  Just seeing people and meeting
people from your site will be great. Count the 2 of us in.
