If the property is sold to the LRA then the issue of elevation becomes the
responsibility of the new owner (state/parish or if resold the citizen)  If
you may sell on the open market, I would suggest starting a repair process
to avoid the elevation costs.

Craig, in saying this, are you/the parish implying that only foiks who wish
to rebuild, do hurry to start rebuilding to avoid cost to them/or by
utilizing the ICC flood insurance funding? Will those who are selling their
homes to the state in buyouts of the LRA Home program in desperate need to
raise their homes or will the state make that decision to
repair/rebuild/demolish after the home is bought from the St. Bernard
Citizens?  Thanks MJ
