Vitter and Landrieu Not committed to Corps Reform

Dear Members,

Late on Tuesday, representatives for both Senator Vitter and Landrieu said
their bosses are not yet committed on how they will support Corps Reform.

Independent experts

and the Corps of Engineers <http://www.bayoubuzz.com/articles.aspx?aid=6311>
itself agree that an expert oversight review panel is critical to assuring
sound Corps projects that will utilize money wisely, develop land safely and
protect lives.

Levees.Org believes that goal is best achieved through the Feingold-McCain
amendments to the Water Resources Development Act of 2006. The Inhofe-Bond
amendments appear to merely maintain the status quo.

help make true Corps Reform happen.
