[StBernard] Progress to slow

We went to Biloxi Sat. to view some of the destruction. If you didn't know
what the coast looked like before the storm, you could barly tell there was
a storm except for a select few buildings. They have everything cleaned up,
no depris anywhere. Work crews were out working, cleaning, rebuilding.
Lots of progress since the storm. They even cleaned off a certain area of
the beach.

Sunday we went to my house in Meraux. Totaly opposite. Yes I know Biloxi's
water came in than went out, It didn't effect there whole town, but these
are just excuses. There's piles of trash on every street we went down.
Every street was flooded yesturday. My new neighbors(construction workers
from up north that moved down and are buying houses fixing thm half ass and
selling them) front lawn looks worse now than before the storm. They
collecting copper, aluminum and other trash. Did the parish contract
workers picking up debris stop again? Some people are dumping there debris
in the street thinking it might get picked up sooner. There are missing
stop signs on cross streets were neither vehicle has to stop. Very
dangerous. The area I'm talking about is from Chalona to Jacob on Genie.
There is no way I'm moving back. I don't even like going there to work on
my house in Meraux. There is no police patroling anywhere. I came in from
Arabi to Violet and never seen not one patrol car. Everytime I go there, I
can tell someone has been in my house or yard. I work on my house with a
9mm cliped on my belt in clear site due to my new low class neighbors I have
living next to me now.
