Gaby,

The mosquito control did a walk through of over 1,000 pools- most found that
there were adequate numbers of the fish that eat mosquitos and minnows
(which also eat the larvae) The bigger problem is the household containers
that hold water.

As far as abandoned pools- with the 29th coming soon- and the compliance of
the pools will be part of the recovery push.

Good luck and God Bless,
Craig

Gaby,
New Orleans has the mosquito eating fish (they are breeding them), but
they won't give them to St. Bernard residents. I have already called since
a neighbor has a pool in their back yard (I am so afraid I am going to see
eyes looking out of it at me one daye. I was told to call our mosquito
control agency, but they said thay don't have them. I guess we will have to
settle for the minnows.
