One has to wonder. If a survey was taken by either write-ins, e-mail or
tally, which site would be given the majority of places for a permanent
location of the monument? One has to bet that the monument vacinity would be
best choice among the rest being a central location, seat of government and
facility for attendance.

However, no real challenge has taken place to make up the minds of those who
went ahead without a democratic consensus as to where St. Bernardians
actually wished the location of their memorial. I can't honestly say there
was, but who's idea was it to move to the end of the world anyhow?

i do believe that the best place for a memorial of that magnitude of course
is at the battlefield. but being that it is federal they probably wont
allow it. so the next best place would be in front of the old court house.
that is the place of so many memories and it sure does get visited alot more
than hopedale. what do ya'll think? GOD BLESS and KEEP THE FAITH
