Rena,

the delay was specifically due to FEMA holding up demolitions in the oil
spill area. Now that that issue has been cleared demolitions in that area
will be part of the process and you should see some of those houses come
down.

Concerning our area, how many times WERE we told the truth? When we were
(and I'm trying to recall when), we were penalized because we chose to live
in eastern Chalmette. I suppose that you can make a comparison here as a
select group of St. Bernard Citizens who are being Chastized, Ostrasized and
Penalized.

It would be interesting to find out if this area oulined by the extended
Murphy's map of Jacob, 40 Arp, Paris and st. Bernard Hwy's is a leading
taboo in the parish with less per capita living/coming back?

If one had to surmise as to which area in St. Bernard is the most
progressive in recovery and which one is least (regressive/dormant), which
one would it be?
