[StBernard] St. Bernard's homeland director resigns after drill, at officials' request

The man in charge of homeland security and emergency preparedness in St.
Bernard Parish said Monday he is resigning.

Larry Ingargiola, St. Bernard Parish's director of homeland security, said
he was asked by officials in Parish President Henry "Junior'' Rodriguez's
administration to resign.

The request, he said, came after parish officials had concluded a hurricane
preparedness drill Monday morning. Ingargiola said he had spoken to
Rodriguez later Monday and that Rodriguez said he knew nothing of the
request for Ingargiola's resignation.

Rodriguez was not immediately available for comment.
