Documentary about La.'s disappearing coastline airs on Aug. 29 on public
broadcasting; Unified Recovery Group opens office inside Parish Information
Center to handle complaints or inquiries

"Washing Away: Losing Louisiana,'' a documentary about the state's
disappearing coastline told from the viewpoint of people affected by
hurricanes Katrina and Rita, will air on Louisiana public broadcasting
stations at 8 p.m. on Aug. 29, the one-year anniversary of Katrina.
It will run again in Louisiana on Sept. 3 at 4 p.m., then airs nationally on
Public Broadcasting on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.

Christina Melton, an award-winning Louisiana Public Broadcasting producer,
made the documentary that is told through the eyes of those affected by last
year's hurricanes. Washing Away is narrated by academy award winner Susan
Sarandon.

Unified Recovery Group, St. Bernard Parish's contractor for storm debris
removal and demolition has opened an office inside parish government's
Information Center to handle complaints or inquiries. The Information Center
is a gray trailer directly behind the government complex at 8201 West Judge
Perez Drive.
Residents can make complaints or inquire about demolition and debris removal
pickups on their streets, officials of Unified Recovery said. The office is
open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
