[StBernard] LRA question

Jim,

First off, Walter Leger is your stereo-typical attorney and speaks out of
both sides of his mouth. If you do get a chance to ask him a question, find
three different ways to phrase it and go with the two similar answers.

It seems as though the best advice, even though Leger said the exact
opposite 30 seconds earlier before reversing course on the Garland Robinette
show, is to fill out the new "application" (Leger and LRA Head Sean Riley do
not want to call it an application, but there is no other term for it).

You can find the form here:
http://www.road2la.org/

It is strictly an online form, so you need to create an account first, then
you can login and actually fill out the form.

Items needed, drivers license number for you and spouse (if married),
current contact info, address of damaged property, contact info for friend
or relative who knows how to get in touch with you, homeowners and flood
insurance info (company, policy #, claim #), were you a flood plain, FEMA #.
The form will also ask for basic demographic info (sex, race) and rough
financials (how much in checking/savings account, etc) but you do not need
to answer these questions.

The whole process will take you about 15 minutes if you have all of your
info ready.

I did get a database error last night, but either it corrected itself or
someone else corrected it, but I was locked out for about 5 minutes. The
good news, it saves all the info you have entered until you get the error,
so if you do get locked out, you don't have to enter from the beginning.
You just need to click the next button until you get to the screen where you
left off.

I read on nola.com where someone stated there is a new LRA application going
out to people who have registered and they are asking questions about the
applicant's investments. When the hell was that supposed to be a part of
this?

According to one poster on nola.com, Walter Leger was on WWL radio stating
he and Blanco were not happy about this and it was the contracting company
who sent out the new apps!!
