    Katrina Bells were being sold at all St. Bernard Fire Stations for $3.00
a piece, but are currently sold out.  WWL, in partnership with local Fire
Departments and/or Firefighters, has made available the Bells to help
support programs established by local firefighters.  
 
    In 2002, the St. Bernard Firefighters Local 1468 established a College
Scholarship Program for St. Bernard Parish Schools.  This program is
administered by the High Schools and has awarded four scholarships each
year, and sixteen scholarships since its inception.  Unfortunately, WWL
provided only 4500 bells (normally 7000) to St. Bernard Firefighters with no
additional bells expected.  
    Although this does not support the St. Bernard Program, you may want to
try other area Fire Stations.
