[StBernard] Murphy soil removal

Craig,

After inquiring as to when the soil removal at my residence was scheduled I
was told that Murphy is doing it in the order of when the resident owner
settled with them and they have not gotten to the people that settled in
January as of yet. Murphy's agreement did not specify any time frame to
complete the work.

This explains why someone I know that has no intentions of coming back, was
on the blighted list has had the soil removed, replaced and barrier material
placed on top of the new soil.

I assume that this is why I've read that home owners have paid to have their
own soil removed and replaced in order to landscape.

As usual there seems to be no intelligence in this process. Wouldn't it be
more logical to place the homes on the demo and blighted list at the back
end of the soil removal process so that those of us that are trying to
rebuild St. Bernard can get on with it?

Could you talk to Carl Zornes to see if there could be any priorities placed
on this process such as issued gas/electrical permits issued at the address?

thanks for all you time and concern with helping us through this.
Jill Dolese
